How to turn on frost protection using the MyHeating App?

SmartGeo Inactive is a remarkable feature that adjusts heating settings based on your geographical location. However, there may be times when you prefer to have manual control over your heating system or disable the SmartGeo feature temporarily. We will show you how to easily deactivate SmartGeo and take charge of your heating preferences.
Additionally, we will guide you through the process of turning off the heating entirely. Whether you’re stepping out for an extended period or simply prefer a cooler environment, knowing how to switch off the heating is crucial for energy efficiency and comfort.
Frost protection will ensure that the floor/air temperature does not drop below 44.0°F. If you’d like to learn how to turn on frost protection using the MyHeating app, follow the simple steps down below.

- First, select ‘SmartGeo Inactive’ at the top of the home screen
- Select ‘Heating off’
- Once Heating off is selected, frost protection will automatically turn off
Full Instructions for Activating Frost Protection
In order to activate frost protection, follow the steps written below. These instructions will guide you through the process of activating frost protection within the MyHeating app.
To start, decide which thermostat you want to activate frost protection on. At the top of the home screen, you should see ‘Smart GEO Inactive’ Activate SmartGeo to automatically control your heating and lower the energy usage by up to 25%. After, select ‘SmartGeo Inactive’ from the available options. This will disable the SmartGeo feature, which automatically adjusts heating settings based on geographic location.
Once ‘SmartGeo Inactive’ is selected, a new screen will appear. This new screen should have titles of ‘SmartGeo Active,’ ‘SmartGeo Inactive,’ ‘Holiday Mode,’ and ‘Heating Off.’
Now, locate the ‘Heating Off’ option. This setting is typically used to turn off the heating system completely. Choose this option to disable the heating.
Once the ‘Heating off’ option is selected, the device should automatically deactivate the frost protection feature. Frost protection is a safety measure that prevents freezing temperatures from causing damage. Disabling the heating will also turn off the frost protection as it is no longer required.
