Using self-lever or thinset depends on the type of flooring being installed and preference.
It is likely to be a wiring or installation issue. Please consult our installation manual for further assistance. Troubleshooting steps will need to be done with a licensed electrician. Please have the electrician call us on site with the model numbers that were installed and a multimeter for testing.
Upon completion of a repair it is completely safe to apply thinset and tile. Read more.
No Heat and No Error Messages
If your floor is not heating and you are not getting an error message, the first step is to confirm programming. Is the target temperature higher than the current temperature? Please make sure that when you are programming the thermostat that the triangle displays on the screen or the red light comes on (heating indicators vary for each thermostat) during times when you would like your floor to heat. If this heating indicator does not turn on, check your programming. Make sure your target temperature is higher than the floor temperature reading.
The clicking noises are the relay opening and closing to let the power through to the heating system. While it should be hardly noticeable, it can be reduced by insulating the surrounding of the electrical box in which it is mounted. You should also ensure that the screws mounting both the box and the thermostat are tight.
It could also mean that your thermostat is connected to the internet but you have not registered the device as a room on the myheating app or the my.warmup portal. In this instance, you will need to gather your 4iE’s device number and enter a room at your location on your profile.
