How to Tell which Temperature Setting the Thermostat is Operating From

On your thermostat’s home screen, you will see the temperature source written underneath the large temperature number in the center of the screen. If the thermostat is operating from the floor probe, it will say “Floor” under the temperature. If the thermostat is operating from the internal air sensor, it will say “Ambient.”

How to Change the Floor Probe Usage

To change the floor probe usage settings on your Warmup 7iE Smart Thermostat, start by pressing the 3 bars at the bottom of the screen to access the menu. Next, press “Settings,” “Advanced Settings,” and then “Sensors & Application.”

Then, press “Floor Thermostat.” A menu will appear with the options “Control” and “Limit.” Under the “Control” setting, scroll to select your preferred control method.

  • Floor: With this option selected, the thermostat will display and operate based on the temperature it senses from the installed floor probe.
  • Remote Air: With this option selected, the thermostat will display and operate based on the temperature it senses from the internal ambient temperature sensor, or the air temperature in the room.

The “Limit” setting is set to “None” by default. In most cases, this is the optimal setting for your thermostat. Once the desired settings have been selected, press “Accept” to save, then press “Back” to return to the home screen.

Errors Resulting from the Floor Probe

There are a couple of errors that your thermostat may display if the floor probe was wired incorrectly to the back of the thermostat.

If you are seeing an ER1 Error message on your thermostat, click here for information on how to resolve the error.

If you are seeing an ER2 Error message on your thermostat, click here for information on how to resolve the error.
