What Does the Control Fault Error Message Mean?
Test your Resistance if there’s Control Fault Error Message
The Control Fault message might occur for several reasons. Please contact your electrician to have them test the resistance of your heating system. The resistance reading is based on the heater model installed in your floor using a digital multimeter set to a 200 ohms scale.
Additionally you can try to power cycle the thermostat by loosening the two screws on the bottom and pulling the face of the thermostat unit off. Then, using a small screw driver or other pointed object, you can press the reset button on the back of the face. Once you have pressed the reset button, you can put the face of the unit back on and tighten the screws.
Also, do not use a GFCI breaker with a thermostat that has built in GFCI. This could result in the internal GFCI, located within the thermostat, to begin tripping.
For further assistance, please contact the Warmup technical department with your testing results.
