How to Set a Weekly Program on your 7iE Thermostat
Your 7iE Thermostat is capable of programming a different on/off schedule for each day of the week. This feature allows you to save on energy costs by only running the system when a room is in use.
Video Instructions
The video below will visually walk you through the process of setting up the weekly programming on your 7iE Thermostat:
Written Instructions
To set up a weekly programming schedule for your Warmup 7iE Smart Thermostat, follow the instructions written below:
Navigating the Settings Menu
First, access the menu by pressing the three bars at the bottom of your thermostat screen. If the icon is a lock instead, it means that your thermostat is in “Standby Mode.” Simply press anywhere on the screen to exit standby mode – the lock icon will disappear.
Next, once you are in the menu, press “Program” and then “Weekly Schedule.”
Setting a Weekly Schedule
Start by clicking on the icon for each day of the week that you would like to set the same schedule for. For example, if you want to set a schedule that will be the same for every weekday, you will press M, T, W, T, and F.
Once the days are selected, you can either click “Add Period” to add a new heating period or, if there are already periods scheduled, you can click on a period to edit it.
Next, you will be prompted to select the start time (when you would like the heating period to begin), end time (when you would like the heating period to end), and the target (the temperature that you would like to heat to during the selected time). Once these fields are set to your liking, press “Accept.”
Deleting a Weekly Schedule
If there is an existing heating period in your schedule that you would like to delete, you can do so by clicking on the time (same as if you were to edit the existing period) after selecting the days you would like to delete the schedule for. When the “Edit Period” menu comes up, simply press the trash can icon on the bottom of the screen to remove the heating period. Once the period has been deleted, you will be redirected back to the previous screen and the period you deleted will be gone.
Confirming the Weekly Schedule
Once the schedule for the selected days is set how you would like it, press “Accept” to confirm the schedule.
You will, then be redirected back to the beginning “Weekly Scheduling” screen. If you would like to continue adding schedules for other days, repeat this process until all of the schedules you would like to set have been entered. Otherwise, press the “Back” button in the bottom left to return to the home screen.
Additional Considerations When Setting a Weekly Schedule
Please note the following when setting a weekly schedule on your 7iE Thermostat:
Setting a Schedule Overnight
If you would like to set a heating schedule that heats overnight (from one day into the next day), you will find that the thermostat will not let you set an end time later than 11:59PM and a start time earlier than 12:00AM.
In order to set a schedule that will run into the following day, you must break it up into 2 schedules. For example, if you want to set a schedule for the floor to heat from 10:00PM on Tuesday to 6:00AM on Wednesday, you will need to create the following 2 periods:
- Period 1: Tuesday > Start Time = 10:00PM, End Time = 11:59PM
- Period 2: Wednesday > Start Time = 12:00AM, End Time = 6:00AM
Overlapping Schedules
If you are adding a new heating period or adjusting an existing period when other heating periods already exist, you may find that you cannot select your desired start or end time. This is because the 7iE Thermostat cannot be scheduled with heating periods that overlap.
For example, if you have an existing schedule for 10:00AM to 2:00PM and want to add a different schedule for 8:00AM to 11:00AM, the thermostat will not let you select an end time for the new schedule that is later than 10:00AM. Because a schedule for 10:00AM to 2:00PM already exists, there would be an overlapping schedule between 10:00AM and 11:00AM.
To continue adding your new schedule for 8:00AM to 11:00AM, you will need to either delete the existing period or edit the start time of the existing period to begin heating after the time when the new period would end.
Scheduling Complete
Once all of the above steps have been followed, your 7iE Thermostat will have successfully been programmed to run automatically on a weekly schedule!
