To Change the Heating Limit on Your Thermostat
Start by pressing the 3 lines at the bottom to access the menu. In the menu, press “Settings,” then “Advanced Settings,” then “Sensors & Application.” In this menu, first, select the “Floor Type” option, scroll to “Other,” and then press “Accept.”
After you have changed your Floor Type to Other, press “Back” to return to the “Advanced Settings” screen. Then, press “Temperature Limits.”
This will bring up a menu to change both the minimum and maximum temperatures that your thermostat can be set to. Scroll to select the minimum and maximum temperatures you would like to set the lower and upper heating limits to and press “Accept.”
Press “Back” to return to the home screen. You will now only be able to set your thermostat’s temperature within the limits you selected.
Heating Limits, Explained
By default, your thermostat will set an upper heating limit of around 80-84 Degrees Fahrenheit depending on the floor type chosen during the initial setup. This is because, while uncommon, some floor types can potentially be damaged by very high temperatures. To mitigate this risk, the thermostat will not allow you to set your floor temperature high enough to cause damage to the floor unless you override the setting manually.
Before increasing the heating limit on your thermostat, always check with the flooring manufacturer to ensure that the floor can withstand high temperatures.
