How to Set a Password on your 7iE Thermostat


If you want to add a PIN to password protect your 7iE Thermostat, you can do so through the Display Settings menu.

To set up password protection on your Warmup 7iE Smart Thermostat, follow the instructions below:

 

How to Activate Screen Lock and Set a Password

Start by pressing the 3 bars at the bottom of the screen to access the menu. Next, press “Settings” and then “Display.”

In the Display Menu, press the switch next to the “Screen Lock” option. The switch will move to the right and turn green, indicating that the screen lock function is now active. A pop up will appear with a number pad for you to enter a PIN. Enter a 4-Digit PIN of your choosing and then press “Done” in the bottom right of the screen (note that the “Done” button will not appear until after 4 numbers have been entered).

When you press done, you will be redirected to the home screen in Standby Mode (indicated by the lock icon on the bottom of the screen).

 

How to Unlock a Password-Protected Thermostat

Any time your thermostat enters Standby Mode with Screen Lock activated, you will need to enter your PIN in order to interact with your thermostat.

To unlock your thermostat, press the lock icon. A number pad will appear for you to enter your 4-Digit PIN. When the PIN has been successfully entered, the thermostat will redirect to the home screen and you will be able to interact with your thermostat freely.

 

How to Turn Off Screen Lock

To turn off the password protection on your thermostat, start by pressing the 3 bars at the bottom of the screen to access the menu. Next, press “Settings” and then “Display.”

Then, press the switch next to the “Screen Lock” option. The switch will move to the left and turn gray, indicating that the screen lock function has been deactivated.

Press “Back” to return to the home screen.
