Automatic Updates with WiFi Connection
If your 7iE Thermostat is connected to WiFi, the date and time will be updated automatically. When you navigate to the “Time & Date” option of the Settings Menu, you will notice that the option to change the date and time is grayed out.
If you wish to control the date and time settings manually, you must first turn off the WiFi, however, you must continue to use the thermostat without WiFi to keep these settings. Once WiFi is reconnected, the date and time will revert to updating automatically through the network.
Manually Setting the Date & Time
Start by pressing the 3 bars at the bottom of the screen to access the menu. Next, press “Settings” and then “Time & Date.”
Update the Time
Press the “Time” option. This will bring up a new menu with Hours, Minutes, and AM/PM. Scroll each option until the correct time is shown, then press “Accept.”
Update the Date
Press the “Date” option. This will bring up a new menu with Day, Month, and Year. Scroll each option until the correct date is shown, then press “Accept.”
Daylight Savings Option
The “Daylight Savings” option in this menu will increase the time by an hour so that, during daylight savings time, you do not need to adjust the time setting itself. When the slider is green, the setting is on and is adding an hour to the time. When the slider is gray, the setting is off and is only displaying the time as it was input in the “Time” setting.
24-Hour Time Option
The “24-Hour Time” option in this menu will change the time to display based on 24-Hour time rather than 12-Hour time. When the slider is green, the setting is on and is displaying the time as 24-Hour time. When the slider is gray, the setting is off and is displaying the time as 12-Hour time.
