What is the Lock Icon on my 7iE Thermostat?


If you see a lock icon on the bottom of your 7iE Thermostat’s screen, it means your thermostat is in Standby Mode.

Written Instructions

The lock icon will appear on the bottom of your thermostat’s screen (where the menu icon usually is) when your thermostat enters Standby Mode.

What is Standby Mode?

Standby Mode is like a screen saver for your thermostat. The lock icon will appear and the thermostat screen will dim when the thermostat has been inactive (not touched) for one minute.

You can set a custom brightness level for your thermostat when it is in Standby Mode. Click here for instructions on how to change this setting.

 

How to Exit Standby Mode

To clear the lock icon on your thermostat and exit Standby Mode, simply press the lock icon on the thermostat screen. The screen’s brightness will increase and you will see the menu icon (3 bars) reappear at the bottom of the thermostat’s screen. This means your thermostat is no longer in Standby Mode.
