How to wire the 3iE Energy-Monitoring Floor Heating Thermostat


Power 120v –  The black wire from panel is connected to black wire from thermostat (line 1). The white neutral wire from panel is connected to red wire from thermostat (line 2). The bare copper ground is connected to copper ground from heater (Subject to change based on wire colors chosen by electrician).

 

Power 240v – The black wire from the panel is connected to black wire from thermostat (line 1). The red wire from panel is connected to red wire from thermostat (line 2).  The bare copper ground is connected to copper ground from heater (Subject to change based on wire colors chosen by electrician).

 

Heater 120v – The black wire from the heater is connected to black wire from the thermostat (load 1). The white neautral wire from the heater is connected to red wire from thermostat (load 2). The yellow/green ground wire is connected to the house ground.

 

Heater 240v – The black wire from the heater is connected to black wire from the thermostat (load 1). The red wire from the heater is connected to red wire from thermostat (load 2). The yellow/green ground wire is connected to the house ground.

 

Sensor – The two wires are connected to ports 1 & 2 on thermostat interchangeably (color is not important).

 

NOTE: All cables and connections must be carried out by a qualified electrician and must conform to the local electrical code.
