What is the purpose of setting the system wattage on my thermostat?

Setting the system wattage on your thermostats involves choosing a power figure that represents the total power (wattage) of the heaters controlled by your thermostat. By calibrating this setting, it enables the use of the thermostat’s “Energy Use” calculation function.

This function monitors the energy consumption of your underfloor heating system based on the active heating time and the power output (wattage) that is selected in this setting.

How do I set the system wattage on my thermostat?

To set the system wattage on your thermostat, start by pressing the “Edit” button at the bottom of the screen. Then, press “User Settings.”

In the “User Settings” menu, press “Power Set.”

Use the arrows to adjust the wattage shown on the screen to match the total wattage of your underfloor heating system. If there is only one heater connected to the thermostat, this number will reflect the wattage of that heater. If there are multiple heaters connected to the thermostat, adjust the wattage on the screen to reflect the total combined wattage of all of the heaters that are connected. For example, if there is a DCM-240-3240 (3240 Watts) and a DCM-240-1050 (1050 Watts) connected to one thermostat, you will set the system wattage to 4290 Watts.

Once the correct wattage has been selected, press the check mark button in the bottom left to confirm the setting.

Use the back arrows in the top left corner to return back to the main screen.
