Video Instructions
The video below will visually walk you through how to test the GFCI on your EZPT Thermostat:
Written Instructions
Testing the GFCI on your EZPT Thermostat may be necessary for inspections. To test the GFCI, first ensure that your system is current running. You should see the heating indicator under the time near the top left of your thermostat’s screen. If you do not see the heating indicator, temporarily override the temperature on your thermostat to turn the system on.
Then, in the top right corner of your thermostat, press the “Test” button and hold it in briefly. You will see a screen take over the thermostat that reads “ground fault detected,” indicating that the test was successful.
To clear the error, press the button labeled “Reset” on the top left of the thermostat. The thermostat will return to the home screen.
If the “Ground Fault Detected” screen is showing on your thermostat and does not go back to the home screen when pressing the thermostat screen, first, remove the faceplate to perform a reset. If the error persists after reconnecting the faceplate to the thermostat, contact Warmup to troubleshoot.
