Can the cold tail lead of your Warmup indoor heating system be extended?

If the cold tail lead of your Warmup system is not long enough, it can be extended.

Extensions must be made with wire that is suitable for the application and complies with code. The cold lead of our product is composed of two 14 AWG conductors with a copper braid that acts as the grounding conductor. The cold lead cannot pass through studs unless running through a conduit. Extension of cold leads requires code-compliant junction boxes. The maximum length extension recommendation as per Warmup is 75’.

Warmup Tip: Prevent having to extend the lead by starting the mats at the thermostat location. This will require prior planning as you will need to know where you are mounting the thermostat unit.
