Should I leave space between membrane sheets?

When installing sheets of Warmup membrane, you should try your best to install with no overlapping or large gaps.

The Warmup uncoupling membrane is 1/4″ thick. You should always plan for enough membrane to cover the entire subfloor. Covering the entire subfloor with membrane will do two things, keep the floor level and offer uncoupling and anti-fracture benefits to the entire space.

Tip from Warmup:  We like to separate the membrane sheets a bit as it minimizes risks of “lifting” the edges (like a mountain range on a tectonic plate).
