What kind of adhesive do I use with Ultralight?
Ultralight Insulation Boards
Ultralight boards should be installed with a modified thinset adhesive. This is the typical ‘ready to mix’ type compound you will find at flooring stores and home centers. Use a ¼” x ¼” square notch trowel at a slight angle, then press the boards in place. If available, you can press down on the boards with a weighted roller, but this is not necessary. Applying your body weight to the boards is sufficient. When starting and on occasion, check for adhesive coverage or “contact” between the boards and the subfloor.
