What does the LD Dip Switch mean?

The LD Dip Switch will determine the length of time your system will remain off when DEL (Dip Switch 3) is set to the ON position.

LD (Long Delay) or Dip Switch 5 feature on the DS8 works in conjunction with the Delay off feature on Dip Switch 3 (DEL). When this switch is in the OFF position, the system will only remain on for 30-90 minutes. When the LD switch is in the ON position, the system will remain on for 2-6 hours. Depending on your situation and climate, you can tailor this setting to your specific needs. This feature can help prevent any residual moisture from re-freezing.
