What is the maximum self-regulating wattage on a PVC pipe?

 

Considering that there are many different PVC materials, there is only one we need to consider: PVC with a temperature resistance of 70°C. Generally, the maximum operational temperature for PVC items is 95C (200F) Warmup heaters in our range will not get anywhere near that in normal operation. Therefore, for this specification, the maximum wattage of Warmup SR heating cable(s) is 8W/Linear Foot (LF).  Always consult the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines before installing pipe freeze protection.
