What is the Electromagnetic Field Rating?
Warmup® systems have been tested and certified as being virtually EMF free, complying with strict KEMA Quality standards.
Most electrical products produce EMF levels of varying degrees. There is controversy amongst scientists in ascertaining what is a considered a safe level or even whether EMF is harmful at all. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), ”Electromagnetic fields are present everywhere in our environment but are invisible to the human eye. Even the electricity that comes out of every power socket has associated low frequency electromagnetic fields.”
The international guidelines are based on the recommendations of the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP). These guidelines have been set following a thorough review of the science and took into consideration both thermal and non-thermal effects and all sectors of the population. The European Union`s recommendation for public exposure is based on ICNIRP, and it was the standard recommended for adoption in this country by the Independent Expert Group on Mobile Phones (the Stewart Inquiry) in May 2000.
Recommended guideline exposure standards (by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection), is 100 micro Tessla’s. To provide a comparison, Warmup dual wire products could not be measured using equipment capable of reading down to 0.1 micro Tesslas.
