With the advent of central heating the practise of underfloor heating fell away and wasn’t really reintroduced until the 1960’s as both electrical and hydronic systems became more economical.
Underfloor heating is now gaining popularity once again as systems become more economical and efficient particularly as energy becomes more expensive and the many additional benefits of radiant heating are more widely recognised.
